New Mexico HIDTA - Southwest Border (NMHIDTA)

New Mexico HIDTA is governed by an Executive Committee comprised of Federal, State, Local, and Tribal participants and two ex-officio, non-voting members. The Executive Committee oversees the integration and synchronization of efforts to reduce illicit drug trafficking, eliminate unnecessary duplication of effort, leverage existing resources, and systematically improve the sharing of illicit drug intelligence and information. The Executive Committee reviews and approves all initiative funding requests for submission to ONDCP.

The New Mexico HIDTA Director's Office supports the Executive Committee and its subcommittees and provides guidance in the preparation and development of the annual Drug Threat Assessment and Initiative/Budget Proposals. The Director's Office also conducts on-site fiscal and programmatic reviews to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and progress toward attaining expected outcomes for each initiative.
